The solenoid seals on S50 and S62 VANOS units are a common cause for running issues and oil leaks. It has been popular to use new BMW S62 seals for all applications as an upgrade/refresh, however these were recently discontinued by BMW.

We stepped in with upgraded Viton replacement seals. These have greater oil and temperature resistance than the originals and so will outlast them, offering a perfect, long-lasting seal. These are essential as part of any VANOS procedure on these engines.
