The carbon rear hugger for the BMW S 1000 RR Street (2010-2018) / HP 4 (2012-) replaces the original part using the original mounting points. The chain guard is already incorporated into this rear hugger.
This part is a direct replacement for the original component and contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less) and a higher stiffness of the parts. Like all of Ilmberger’s carbon fibre parts, it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current ‘best of industry’ practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fibre materials using an autoclave. As with all Ilmberger’s carbon parts, they use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.

Made using 100% carbon each part that leaves the production line is made from pre impregnated carbon fibre, processed in state of the art autoclaves then coated and finally finished by hand. This procedure is also used to produce all of the high performance parts for MotoGP and Formula 1 racing vehicles
Ilmberger’s construction method gives each part maximum strength and minimum weight with increased rigidity compared to the bikes standard plastic fairings and body panel parts.
Precision in manufacturing techniques ensures that fit and finish are exceptional.
By using a unique clear synthetic coating that is more resistant than any other clear lacquer, Ilmberger ensure that the finish is not only beautiful but protects long-term against weather and UV.
All Ilmberger parts carry the TUV seal of approval for peace of mind (excluding racing parts).
