Hack Engineering S50B32/S54 VANOS PRV Plug O-Ring – this is to replace the original which are prone to cracking and degradation, especially when removed for cleaning of the VANOS unit.

The S50B32 and S54 VANOS units feature a plug, which has an integral pressure relief valve for the VANOS’s oil pump assembly. During any rebuild it is considered essential to remove the plug, as the oil gallery it seals is a trap for dirt, debris and old oil (see images). This is a simple 6mm allen key, and is the exact same part for S50B32 and S54 units.

On the S50B32 this plug can be found on the underside of the exhaust piston assembly. On S54, this is found on the top of the exhaust piston assembly.

This part is a high grade, oil-resistant VITON replacement. One required per VANOS unit. It is recommended that a thread sealant is used during re-assembly, as per factory.
