The Akrapovič optional baffle insert is designed to reduce the noise level produced by the silencer. This is especially useful for track day use where stringent db noise levels must be adhered to.

It is also recommended for use when the Akrapovič optional headers or de-cat link pipe have been added to a slip-on kit to help maintain a sensible noise level.
