The E30 and E36 3 Series’ front control arm bushes are known point of periodic failure, especially with lowered or hard used examples. For some time Powerflex has offered its polyurethane replacement, and now this is available as an ‘Aluminium Outer’ version for maximum performance.

By using a CNC-machined billet aluminium outer bushing shell, deflection within the bush is decreased by a further 50% over Powerflex’s all-polurethane version – totalling a massive 250% stiffer than the OE rubber piece.

The increase in stiffness delivers maximum braking and cornering stability. Available in Powerflex’s 80A ‘Road Series’ stiffness polyurethane and also its 95A ‘Black Series’ for trakc and race use.
